| | No, seriously. I'm reading a book called Be Intolerant (Because Some Things Are Just Stupid), and I highly recommend it to my Christian friends (well, I recommend it to everyone, but I think you Christians will really like it.) It's about the hypocrisy of moral relativism, and it's really eye-opening. Quote from the book: "... what about the idea that there is no absolute truth? I mean, first of all, the statement itself is a declaration of absolute truth (emphasis was already there FYI). If you have a moral relativist friend who says "There is no such thing as absolute truth," he's laying out a truth that he believes will never change. He should put it this way: "It is an absolute truth that there is no such thing as absolute truth." Isn't that crazy? It's self-refuting. It's like me saying, "This sentence does not exist." So, now that you know how awesome this is, read it! :) Oh, and enjoy your holidays! Merry Christmas! [Personal aside: today I rang the Salvation Army donation bucket bell with my cousin and her friend. We sang Christmas carols and wished Merry Christmas to every donator. It was a lot of fun, and really helped us to get into the Christmas spirit.] |
